Perch “Perca Fluviatilis”
For years, the European perch has been at home here in Lake Caspe.
Thanks to the large amount of food carried by the Ebro River (Sea of Aragon), the perch population continues to increase year after year. It shares its habitat with the pikeperch and the black bass. The best time for fishing is spring (March and April) and autumn (September to November).
Nowadays, it is normal to catch specimens up to 60 cm long. No matter what bait is being used, this aggressive predator can attack at any time. It is a very interesting species for fishing, as it is as abundant as the pikeperch and almost as combative as the black bass.
